Taming of the Shrew

The new theater company Pandora’s Doos presents one of Shakespeare’s most controversial plays: The Taming of the Shrew. The production centers on the "taming" of a woman, a theme that demands critical reflection in the 21st century. The performance explores the play’s meaning, irony, and contemporary relevance, and experiments with role reversal: what if the men are tamed instead?

The show takes place at Jungle Amsterdam (formerly Muiderpoorttheater). After the performance, there will be an opportunity for discussion and dancing.
