Sea in Common
During CULTURE UNLIMITED FESTIVAL Yiorgos Bereris showcases his new album Sea in Common, inspired by Greek and Balkan traditions, blending jazz and world music. The album features an ensemble of outstanding musicians on violin, viola, double bass, drums, and Yiorgos himself on piano. Conceived during journeys across the Mediterranean and the Balkans, Sea in Common reflects shared soundscapes: the sounds of sea and wind, the hum of cities, festive gatherings, and the rhythm of daily life. Bereris transforms these impressions into an intimate yet powerful musical language. The concerts are part of a European album release tour, with performances in over six countries.
A Greek pianist and composer based in Rotterdam, Yiorgos has collaborated with leading figures in European jazz and world music, including Kudsi Ergeruner, Alba Careta, Tereza Catarov, Kyriakos Sfetsas, and Tristan Driessens. He has performed at prestigious venues and festivals such as North Sea Jazz Festival, Athens Jazz Festival, Nisville Jazz Festival, Casa Milà (La Pedrera), Jamboree (Barcelona), Assejazz (São Paulo), the Greek National Opera, Vortex (London), JazzX (Timișoara), and the Boston Conservatory Theater (USA). With Sea in Common, he continues to refine his distinctive compositional voice, following his previous albums Laros and Sigá y Silente.

A Tre Voci
Three singers from three different countries, united by their passion for three-part harmonies, share their love for traditional polyphony. In many cultures, three-part singing forms the foundation of vocal traditions, such as in Georgia (Modzakhili, Mtkmeli, Bani), Corsica (Terza, Seconda, Bassu), and Bistritsa, Bulgaria (Okane, Buchat pravo, Buchat krivo). In A Tre Voci, Maryana Golovchenko, Nadine Rossello, and Tatiana Lina present their interpretations of Corsican, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Georgian, and other traditional songs.
Each singer brings her unique expertise to this project. Maryana Golovchenko blends Ukrainian and Eastern European traditional music with contemporary styles, from classical to jazz and electronic. Nadine Rossello specializes in Mediterranean and Corsican polyphony, both traditional and modern. Tatiana Lina has studied polyphonic traditions for over twenty years, sharing her knowledge with choirs and vocal ensembles.
