Effervescent Ouverture
Effervescent Ouverture is a short, expressive work for string orchestra, inspired by an art-theoretical approach from the time of Béla Bartók, as outlined by Judit Frigyesi in her book Béla Bartók and Turn-of-the-Century Budapest. Additionally, a quote from Lawrence M. Krauss’s A Universe from Nothing serves as a conceptual foundation:
"In quantum gravity, universes can, and indeed always will, spontaneously appear from nothing."
The piece seeks to capture the complexity, contrasts, and tensions of the world through music, while also emphasizing the wonder and ecstasy of life. The Dutch premiere will be performed by the Dutch Youth String Orchestra in collaboration with the KLIF Quartet.
