De Nijverheid X Amarte

Deze zomer biedt Amarte opnieuw in samenwerking met De Nijverheid drie korte, intensieve duo-residenties voor performatieve makers, gericht op interdisciplinair werken op locatie. Via een open call werden er drie duo's aan elkaar gekoppeld. Het tweede duo bestaat uit Charlotte Puebla Coenen en Laila Claessen.

Op 17 juli wordt er door de Nijverheid een collectieve expositieborrel georganiseerd. Aansluitend aan de collectieve expositieborrel zullen Charlotte en Laila de performance presenteren waar ze tijdens de residentie aan hebben gewerkt.

Twenty days ago, Charlotte and Laila met for the first time. Two strangers from different theatrical backgrounds, brought together with the opportunity to explore whatever sparked their curiosity. From the very beginning, they were excited to learn from each other’s skills. During this short and fun collaboration, they worked on vocal techniques, text writing, physical composition, and improvisation. All these elements were fueled by the theme disappointment. Why? Well, because of very personal, yet super universal reasons. In Talk It Over, Charlotte and Laila share a series of framed improvisations. Not as a finished story, but as a little dot on a line that might be extended.
