Twee vaasjes en een plakbandje voor mijn hart
Rosa Kreulen received a grant for the development of a new theatre production. Twee vaasjes en een plakbandje voor mijn hart is a tragicomic monologue about heartbreak, rejection and the attempt to regain emotional agency in situations where control is lacking. The performance examines how intensely shared moments can shift into memories, and how the desire for affirmation can persist after a relationship has ended. The premise is an ostensibly neutral encounter — a lunch with an ex-partner — that evolves into a confrontational and emotionally charged exchange. The work moves between humour and vulnerability, placing themes of love, loss and autonomy at its centre.
Rosa is an actress, director and theatre maker. In 2022, she graduated from the Amsterdam University of the Arts (Academy of Theatre and Dance) with the production Dying Days. Since then, she has developed her practice as both performer and writer. She completed an internship with Mamma Medea (Theatergroep Suburbia) and, in the same year, played the lead role in the short film Suni (Amstelfilm/NFF 2022), which she co-wrote and co-directed with Edward de Jong. In 2023, she appeared in Koekoeksnest 10+ (Theater Oostpool and Theater Sonnevanck), the feature film Laatste Ronde (KeyFilm, directed by Boris Paval Conen), and presented her own production Ik Ga Niet Voor Je Liegen at De Parade. As a writer, she develops theatre texts and film scripts; her text Monster was presented as a staged reading at Theater Bellevue in 2024. In January 2026, the television film Please Try Again Later will be released, for which she collaborated with Boris Paval Conen on both script and direction. Rosa positions herself as a versatile maker with a distinct affinity for the tragicomic, where humour and vulnerability reinforce one another.
