Thinking with Water
Tamar Blom received a grant to develop new work. In Thinking with Water, Tamar takes you into an experience of water that you rarely experience. Alone, you confront a jet of water that comes straight at you and splashes against a thin screen right in front of you. Thus, it is like standing under a waterfall, in the middle of a flood or in the firing line of a water cannon. In the relative safety there is time to disappear into the visual spectacle this perspective brings.
Tamar creates performances and installations in which the viewer is addressed in a physical way and is actually set in motion. This is done through intense visual spaces and actions.
