The Adventures of Dora, Wolfie and the Invisible Gun

Veronika Abdul-Visocka received a grant to develop a multimedia performance that explores the idea of invisible weapons and investigates how patriarchal and militaristic violence manifests in everyday life. Drawing from personal experience and critical research, the piece examines how systems of power and violence permeate even the most intimate aspects of life. The performance combines live acting and digital avatars, using the visual and narrative language of video games to question the line between reality and imagination. Through choreography, text, and multimedia interaction, the work creates a hybrid world where virtual and physical realities collide.

Veronika is a theatre maker, writer and performer based in Amsterdam. She graduated in 2025 from the master’s programme at DAS Theatre (Academy of Theatre and Dance). Her work is informed by a power-critical hybrid perspective, shaped by the multiple languages, religions, and political systems she was raised in. Rather than accepting one fixed belief system, Veronika is interested in exploring concepts of fluidity and multiversality as well as the capacity for transformation.  In her creations, Veronika combines auto-ethnographic and auto-fictional material with elements of critical theory. Her process is driven by collaboration with artists across disciplines.
