Listening Islands

Hearin Jeong received a grant to develop Listening Islands: The Distance Between, a research project about listening, sound, and the connections between bodies and landscapes. Through field recordings, writing, and collaborations with musicians, she explores how sounds carry memories and traces of places, and how listening can create new ways of encountering the world and each other.

Hearin is a theatre maker and interdisciplinary artist from South-Korea, based in The Netherlands. She investigates theatrical phenomena that occur around a narrative, exploring how bodies in performance relate to the world.
