The Keys Of History

Wasim Arslan received a grant for his debut album called The Keys Of History. It tells the story of his liberation beginning with a life under a dictatorship, war and oppressed social and religious structures. Followed by a fight for rights and freedom, and the experience of true freedom. The essence of the story could be inner peace. But what must we do to break these shackles?

Wasim, from war-torn Aleppo in Syria, carries with him a great story, along with the treasure of his culture to share with the world. His voice opens listeners' hearts and the Arabic grooves are always danceable. Wasim is working on his first album that tells his liberation story.
