Jesus Serrano Huitron received a grant to develop a debut solo album. In this album, Jesus Serrano presents the complete works of composer David Pelham on classical guitar. David Pelham is an American, still living, composer who composed music based on his personal life experiences, such as his battle with cancer and the forest fire that almost caused him to lose his home. This album brings together the multicultural influences of both Jesus Serrano and David's places of birth and residence.

Mexican classical guitarist Jesus Serrano stands out for his powerful and refined technique. His eclectic and energetic repertoire focuses on the interaction between speed and sensitivity, and his artistic activity has led him to perform frequently in America and Europe. Jesus is also frequently invited to give lectures and workshops at international guitar festivals and has also served on juries at international competitions. The track Uncle Meat Variations, which he recorded with guitar ensemble 3NSAMBL3, was released by Frank Zappa Records.
