Smoking Mirrors

De Sluwe Vos received a grant for developing new work. Smoking Mirrors is a hypnotic light installation by De Sluwe Vos and light artist Lucas Dijkman, in which music and light merge into a single performative whole. Rotating mirrors, stroboscopic projections, and pulsing beats fuse into an experience that you don’t just watch, you’re immersed in it. A tribute to club culture; alienating, connective, and razor-sharp.

De Sluwe Vos (Robert Vosmeijer) and light artist Lucas Dijkman join forces in Smoking Mirrors: a collaboration in which beats and light become one living composition. Drawing from their experience in the club and festival scene, they create a total experience with no hierarchy between music and visuals, but rather a shared artistic language.
