Horse / a-running

Horse / a-running is a performance about friendship, deceit & betrayal through the eyes of a racehorse and is part of the series of audio-visual narratives of Lady Roach & other such stories, written & composed by Danai Belosinof in collaboration with Elia Kalogianni, who focused on the visual aspect of the whole thing. Horse / a-running is a contemporary mythical story inspired by the life of children in the city. An ode to life; life and its tragedies.

Danai Belosinof and Elia Kalogianni are a creative duo who met in Amsterdam during their studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. The duo has collaborated in numerous interdisciplinary projects in recent years, from films to music theater and installations. Under the name Lady Roach & other such stories, they have developed an artistic process and language that is constantly evolving: an audiovisual grammar in which sound and image inform each other in a non-hierarchical way and form imaginary space-time situations.
