Conducted

Alan Ahued Naime

Alan Ahued Naime received a grant to be able to continue his artistic research. Conducted is part of an ongoing practice-based research in which Alan explores new ways to influence our perception, taking shape in an immersive exhibition built around the story of a renowned conductor and composer who suddenly loses the ability to recognise pitch. What begins as the collapse of a career becomes a journey toward a new way of listening. The project explores how losing a reference point can open unexpected paths for creativity and perception. Rather than following a linear narrative, visitors encounter fragments of the story as they move through the space, building their own version of the conductor’s journey through sculpture, installation and sound.

Alan is a Mexican artist with a background in music composition and multimedia art. Interested in perception and interactivity, he creates music compositions, sound sculptures, installations, and actions that focus on building spaces for communality and human connection. His research explores new ways of sonic and temporal perception through transdisciplinary projects that invite immersive experiences. His work has been selected and awarded in several international competitions and festivals, and has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions.
