Társega

Daniel Jacoby

Daniel Jacoby received a contribution to develop the film Társega: an experimental film that uses magic realism to shed light on the unworldly socio-economic contrast playing out between Lima’s most exclusive private beach club and the impoverished areas right outside its walls.

Daniel is a Peruvian visual artist and filmmaker. His interest in the human condition has lead him to eccentric characters and places, which he strives to approach from inventively tangential points of view. Apart from winning an Ammodo Tiger Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, his short films have played at Sheffield Doc/Fest, Les Rencontres Internationales, Jeonju IFF, EYE Filmmuseum (Amsterdam), e-flux Screening Room (New York), and Palais de Tokyo (Paris).
