Rita Osipova received a grant to develop new work. Current explores the unceasing flow of digital information and its impact on emotions and identity. It examines how data, like water, can be both essential and overwhelming. By drawing parallels between digital saturation and emotional responses, the project highlights the intersection of technology and the body through installations. Informed by research into digitalisation, neuroscience, and emotion, Current reflects on how the digital world shapes our perception of self and reality.

Rita is a multidisciplinary artist and curator who lives and works in Rotterdam and London. Her artistic practice encompasses a wide range of media, including sculpture, installation, photography, painting, and poetry. Inspired by various scientific fields such as modern anthropology, archaeology, neurobiology, and neuropsychology, Rita weaves these influences together with her poetic language to create layered narratives that evoke intense, visceral experiences. Her immersive installations and sculptures serve as documentation of the ongoing social transformations influenced by digitalisation.
