Maker Meet-Up: Theatre

On December 1, Amarte is organising a Maker Meet-Up especially for theater makers. During this event, you'll take a deeper dive into the world of theater production with a workshop led by theater maker Anna Verkouteren Jansen.

During the workshop you will learn everything involved in producing a theater performance, from concept to financing and execution. Anna will also share her insights into how to get your performance programmed in theaters and at festivals, so your work reaches a wider audience. In addition to the workshop, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet other theater makers over informal drinks.

Anna is an interdisciplinary director, theater maker, writer, and voice actor. She graduated from the Directing program at the Toneelacademie Maastricht (Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts) in 2017 and has been a resident maker at, among others, Frascati Producties, Monty Kultuurfaktorij, and Bloos / PLAN Brabant. Anna's work is about inner worlds: imagination, alienation, and escapism. She loves small people with big dreams. She creates hallucinatory portraits of these loners and underdogs, exploring different layers of consciousness.

The event takes place at Theater Utrecht (Studio 1), from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Admission is free, but registration is required.
