Van Lucht naar Licht
In January 2015, Paradiso Vinyl Club released its first 7-inch single. In the years that followed, numerous exclusive vinyl releases by emerging Dutch artists from various genres were issued. The membership offered music lovers the opportunity to discover local talent that, by 2025, is selling out Paradiso’s main hall, collaborating with international artists, or performing at major festivals.
To mark this ten-year anniversary, Paradiso is hosting a celebration in the Main Hall, the Upper Hall, and the Basement, featuring performances by both familiar names and new talents from the history of Paradiso Vinyl Club, including Gallowstreet.
About Gallowstreet
Gallowstreet is an Amsterdam-based brass band that has developed a distinctive and innovative sound over ten years and five albums. The group consists of seven horn players and one drummer, and is known for compositions that fuse multiple musical genres into energetic, beat-driven pieces with an anthemic character.
The band has played a significant role in shaping the European brass scene; their music is covered and re-arranged worldwide by young ensembles. Their album A Trip Worth Making reflects on their collective journey, combining memorable melodies, carefully structured builds and drops, and emotionally charged riffs.
With performances at Lowlands, North Sea Jazz, Bout du Monde, and in countries such as Algeria, Slovakia, and Turkey, as well as sold-out shows at Paradiso (Amsterdam) and New Morning (Paris), Gallowstreet has established itself as an experienced live ensemble with international appeal.
