Finissage: Remembering Otherwise

Until 12 November 2025, Framer Framed presents the solo exhibition Remembering Otherwise by artist belit sağ, developed in close collaboration with curator Katia Krupennikova. The exhibition focuses on the labour struggle waged by sixty-five women workers in 1978 in Veghel, North Brabant. The presented works include a monumental tapestry, a video piece, collages, and an installation based on the artist’s archival research.

The exhibition takes place across two locations, Municipality of Amsterdam Stadsloket Oost and Framer Framed, and contributes to broader conversations about labour, migration, archives, and memory in the Netherlands. The tapestry can be viewed in the central hall of the district office in Amsterdam Oost between 9:00 and 17:00.

The finissage will take place on 11 November 2025 and will consist of a conversation with some of the migrant women workers from Türkiye, followed by a band performance, food, and drinks. The schedule of the event is as follows:

• 17:30–18:00: Gathering in front of the tapestry at Stadsloket Oost
• 18:00–19:00: Conversation with belit sağ and migrant women workers from Türkiye
• 19:00–21:00: Food, drinks, and band performance
