On 24 September, Linnaeus Boekhandel will host the festive launch of Magenta, the new novella by Nadia de Vries, published by Uitgeverij Oevers as volume 8 in the Kleurenreeks series.

Magenta is a claustrophobic novella about the parallels between human and animal. During a sweltering summer, thirty-five-year-old M. suspects that her husband is having an affair. The only witness who can confirm her suspicions is a mosquito living in their bedroom. Through this mosquito, M. unwillingly enters into a blood-sisterhood with her rival, prompting her to question her autonomy, her individuality, and her role in the lives of others.

Doors open at 17:30, the event begins at 18:00. Advance registration is required and can be made via info@linnaeusboekhandel.nl.
