Dan Afrifa is a writer and historian whose work often revolves around themes of Ghana, history and faith. He has published columns, articles and essays in De Groene Amsterdammer, de Volkskrant and Het Parool, among others. He also self-published four books of stories: Kumasi, Amsterdam, Paris and London. He recently completed his master's degree in history at the University of Amsterdam with a thesis on the history and heritage value of the Kwakoe/u Festival in Amsterdam Southeast, based on oral history research.
