Birth-Elements-One-World

Thijs Jaeger received a contribution for his project Birth-Elements-One-World. His work often arises from various narratives that he translates through sculptural installations. To shape his stories/worlds, he adheres to three archetypal rules: chaos (an encroaching, unknowable force of nature), order (a dogmatic, conservative, structuring force) and transformation (a spiritual, open, metabolizing force).

In Birth-Elements-One-World, he plans to combine the contemporary technique of 3D printing with an ancient one: lost-wax casting. With the results, he plans to develop a sound installation.
