Bereris Ensemble

Ena is an orchestral work created for a specially assembled world music orchestra, where jazz and chamber music merge with musical traditions from Greece, Turkey, the Balkans, and the Arab world — often associated with the makām genre. Composed by Yiorgos Bereris and performed by six musicians, the piece explores musical unity by bringing together diverse traditions into a cohesive whole.
