About Trio Jakob
Trio Jakob is an ensemble consisting of Manuel De Almeida-Ferrer (violin), Carla Peña Romero (cello), and Carlos Marín Rayo (piano), dedicated to exploring the piano trio repertoire and creating a unique soundscape in which three distinct musical personalities merge. The trio has performed in renowned venues and international festivals, including Fundación Juan March (Madrid), TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht), L’Auditori (Barcelona), Stadsgehoorzaal (Leiden), the Fringe Festival in Torroella de Montgrí, the Livorno Music Festival, and the Prisma Poliedric Festival (both in Italy). The ensemble has also been awarded prizes in various chamber music competitions.
This performance will be presented by an adapted line-up, featuring Manuel De Almeida-Ferrer (violin) alongside guest musicians Bruno Tobon (cello) and Jorian van Nee (piano). With this performance, the trio invites the audience to immerse themselves in the imaginative worlds of emblematic composers from the classical canon who, regardless of their age, managed to capture the boundless fantasy of a child. The programme includes Schubert’s Sonatensatz for trio, Turina’s Fantasía Círculo, and Fauré’s Piano Trio.
