start time 16:00
end time 23:00
Location: Onderzeebootloods, Rotterdam, Rotterdam

Emergence Delft presents the first edition of the Emergence Festival Rotterdam: a one-day event at the intersection of art, technology, and society. With the theme Emerging from the Depths, the festival takes place at the Onderzeebootloods and consists of three parts: an exhibition featuring art installations, a programme of talks and music, and a food truck plaza serving as a social space. Through this festival, Emergence Delft offers a unique day for visitors to engage with technological and artistic innovations. The event brings together a broad audience to explore the impact of technology on society.

Emergence Delft is a self-organised, intrinsically motivated student team within TU Delft. Functioning as an official Dream Team, Emergence Delft aims to bridge the gap between art and technology. Within the Platform Project, a six-month research and development programme, they explore connections between seemingly disparate disciplines.

Amarte and Emergence Delft joined forces to launch an interdisciplinary open call on the occasion of the fourth edition of the Platform Project. They were looking for an artist with a fascination for textiles and innovative materials to collaborate with the Dream Team. This collaboration offered an opportunity to explore new possibilities within textile design and materials science, and to challenge existing traditions.
