In the Caribbean of the 1970s, two brothers dream of space. What begins with the development of a groundbreaking rocket fuel formula in their grandparents’ shed grows into a dangerous confrontation with the world’s superpowers. Unwittingly, the brothers become pawns in a global power struggle, as their own ideals begin to stand in direct opposition to one another.

House on the Wind is a poetic, Afrofuturist coming-of-age drama about colonial legacies and finding your own place in the cosmos. Featuring a live soundscape by Gario & Wanga, in which Caribbean roots merge with futuristic sounds, the work unfolds into a compelling Afrofuturist story about dreams that reach beyond the stars.
