Blackberry Bush

On 13 February, Utrecht-based indie pop artist KIIK presents her debut EP Blackberry Bush, accompanied by new material, with a full band at Moira in Utrecht.

Released on 28 November, the EP explores themes such as generational expectations, performance pressure, and the letting go of ideals. Questions rooted in young adulthood yet marked by a broader, universal resonance. These themes take shape in melancholic yet accessible indie pop, characterised by clear melodies and personal, restrained lyrics. In a live setting, the songs unfold in layers: intimate moments gradually give way to a dynamic full-band set with a strong sense of build and release.
